Confused by the terminology? What’s the difference between a moonroof and a sunroof? What even is spoiler-style? Here’s a quick guide to help. Not all vehicles will take every style of roof, so be sure to contact us to find out what will work best for you.
- Sunroof and Moonroof are used interchangeably these days. Sunroof was once used to describe when the movable panel was solid and body-colored, while moonroof was used when that panel was glass.
- Spoiler-Style means when the glass panel retracts over the roof of the car, and Inbuilt roofs retract into the roofline of the vehicle.
- Pop-ups are manually venting and fully removable panels of glass.
